Lord dont let me be
one whose heart pases need on the other side of the road,
who turns the eyes away and forgets the reflection of pain there before me.
Help me stop
giving crumbs of no value to me, as love to the needy,
and instead give my horde of finery I keep only for myself.
Make my mercy
more than a one dollar trinket, that comes once a year.
Make me a riverbed, for living water revive a parched world.
And do this because you said, "Go and do likewise."
